Mini notebook computers are the latest great thing to hit the computing field for the standard user. You see them everywhere and students love them. They are so much easier to carry around than a full-size laptop. But will they really do what you have in mind? Are they the finest alternative for you?

If, alternatively, you wish to pursue your hobby as a gamer then you will more than likely want to pass and go with a full size laptop. That's as of less RAM and processors that are weaker than the desktop versions. If it's a resource intensive program, or application, you will find that mini notebook computers just aren't for you.

Something more to think about is the size of the screen. Of course, with a smaller unit comes a smaller screen, which for some might not be an issue. But if you are used to larger print it may take some getting used to. It could be on the smallest screens available on mini notebooks that you just can not see all of a web page at one time and you will find that annoying.

Also, make sure to check out the keyboard. Women normally not have much of an issue here, but for a lot of men this could be a deal killer. Men usually have larger fingers which have quite a bit of difficulty making their way comfortably across the keys. This is one reason why talking to different people about the same product may not yield the finest suggestions for you.

Spend some time typing on some of the models of mini notebook computers and see if you typing skills diminish greatly. Many netbooks have designed their keyboards in such a way that the keys are flat and with little to no space between the keys making it easy for the bigger fingered of us to hit more than one key at a time.
